ITS were the first company in the UK to look abroad for tankers that would offer our customers additional features over those available in this country. As far back as 1978 ITS was importing tankers from Europe and we continue to source worldwide to find the latest, the safest and the best.

ITS has grown out of Opal Transport Equipment Ltd, which had more than twenty years experience in tanker sales when it entered the rental business in 1978.

Right from the beginning, the company's philosophy was to locate tankers that would do a better job for hirers and its first success was with a revolutionary milk tanker. Today, ITS continues to be innovative and has entered the waste disposal market with vacuum tankers that offer a lighter, more cost-effective alternative to existing equipment.

Over the years, the company has built up an extensive knowledge of the tanker market, enabling us to identify potential enhancements to existing trailer designs and see them implemented to create safer, more competitive tankers. It's a skill that has earned us an impressive list of blue chip customers, including national supermarkets, major transportation and distribution organisations, and large manufacturing companies.

ITS has both the facilities and specialised tanker repair knowledge to service vehicles on site - a big advantage over larger rental companies which are unable to offer this facility.

Our extensive workshop includes the latest welding equipment and we employ our own skilled welders and fitters who can be sent out to a customer location if necessary. As a result, if a customer encounters a problem with a tanker, we can identify and rectify the fault quickly and get the equipment back on the road.

Since ITS is centrally located, we are easily accessible from most industrial areas throughout the UK, but we can nominate a local distributor to undertake repairs and servicing if this is more convenient for customers with service contracts. Of course, ITS tankers carry all necessary certification to comply with current UK and international regulations.
